These terms apply when you buy from Max Products. By placing an order you agree to them. They don't take away any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA).

Prices are in South African rand. Delivery costs are shown before you pay.

• Card and instant EFT payments are processed securely by PayFast. We never see your card details.
• Bank transfer (EFT): we hold your items for 3 days while we wait for your payment.

Your order is confirmed when payment is received. If an item turns out to be unavailable or wrongly priced, we'll contact you and refund anything you paid for it.

We deliver within South Africa. Delivery times and costs are shown at checkout and in our delivery information. Ownership and risk pass to you on delivery.

Under ECTA section 44 you may cancel an online order, without a reason, within 7 days of receiving the goods. Return them unused and in their original packaging. You pay only the direct cost of returning them, and we refund you within 30 days. See returns and refunds.

Under the CPA (section 56) you may return a faulty item within 6 months of delivery, and we will repair it, replace it or refund you, as you choose.

All chemical products carry a three-month warranty from the date of purchase. Electronic products carry the warranty provided by their supplier. If goods turn out to be unavailable after you have paid, we will refund you in full within 30 days.

Please use all products according to their labels and safety data sheets. You use the products you buy at your own risk, and you indemnify Max Products against loss, injury or damage arising from their use, except where the law says otherwise.

Card details are never stored by us. We are not liable for security breaches on your own device caused by viruses, malware or spyware.

South African law governs these terms. We may update them from time to time; the version on this page when you ordered applies to your order.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and you consent to the jurisdiction of the Western Cape High Court. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest remains in force.
