Max Products respects your privacy and handles your personal information according to the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

• Your name, email address and phone number
• Your delivery address and, if you give it, your company name and VAT number
• What you ordered, how you paid and how it was delivered
• Reviews you choose to write
• Your IP address and basic technical details when you place an order, to prevent fraud

We never see or store your card details: card payments are handled by PayFast.

• To process, deliver and support your order
• To keep the records the law requires, such as tax invoices
• To send you news and offers, only if you agreed to this (you can unsubscribe from any email in one click)
• To protect our store and customers from fraud and abuse

Only what they need to do their job:
- PayFast, if you pay online
- Our couriers (such as The Courier Guy or Fastway), who need your name, phone number and address to deliver
- Our hosting and email providers, who store and send information on our behalf

We never sell your information. If any of these providers process information outside South Africa, we make sure it is protected as POPIA section 72 requires.

We keep order and invoice records for five years, as South African tax law requires. Marketing consent lasts until you unsubscribe. Saved carts are deleted after 60 days.

We use only the cookies the store needs to work: one remembers your cart and one protects forms against misuse. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

You may ask us:
- what personal information we hold about you (we'll send you a copy)
- to correct it
- to delete it, except records we must keep by law
- to stop sending you marketing

To have your information removed from our active database, email admin@maxproducts.co.za with the subject line "REMOVE FROM DATABASE". We will process your request as soon as reasonably practicable.

You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for signing out of your account after use.

Our store uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypts sensitive settings, requires two-step sign-in for all staff and keeps an activity log of staff actions.

If you believe we have not complied with this policy or POPIA, please contact us at admin@maxproducts.co.za with a detailed description of your concern. We will investigate and attempt to resolve the matter promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page. We will not change it in a way that reduces the protection of your personal information.
